What I’m Doing Now

Updated: November 2025

Section 1: Projects & Experiments

  • Building a small weather-tracking app that combines local sensor data with astronomical forecasts to plan stargazing nights.

  • Rewriting some old Python scripts to be less embarrassing.

  • Experimenting with long-exposure night photography — currently learning how not to overexpose the moon.

  • Restoring a vintage Game Boy I found during an urban exploration trip.

Section 2: Reading & Learning

  • Currently reading: The Dispossessed by Ursula K. Le Guin.

  • Dipping into Gödel, Escher, Bach again (this time I’m determined to finish it).

  • Learning Japanese — still at the “I can say hello, order coffee, and mildly confuse locals” level.

  • Exploring the ethics of AI through a mix of papers, podcasts, and late-night existential spirals.

Section 3: Nature & Daily Life

  • Fall gardening is underway: kale, mint, and a few rogue cherry tomatoes that refuse to quit.

  • Taking early-morning hikes before the city wakes up.

  • Cooking experiments: fusion ramen with garden herbs — success. Thai-style tacos — questionable.

  • Rediscovering the quiet joy of analog notebooks.

Section 4: Goals & Focus

  • Writing consistently again — aiming for one thoughtful post per week.

  • Finding balance between curiosity and focus (turns out, they don’t always get along).

  • Spending less time doomscrolling, more time looking up — literally and figuratively.

That’s what’s happening right now. If you’re reading this, I hope you’re creating something that challenges you, too.
